Root Galaxy S2 GT I9100 on Android ICS 4.0.3 XXLPJ Firmware

We have already covered the tutorial to install Android ICS 4.0.3 XXLPJ firmware update on Samsung Galaxy S2 GT i9100. Now it’s time to show you how to root the Samsung Galaxy S2 which you are currently running on latest Android 4.0.3 XXLPJ firmware version. You already know that rooting can give you full admin privilege access of your device and also get extra advantage by adding permissions to install some useful apps from Google Play Android Market.

Instructions to be followed must.

1. Make sure that the procedure will only applicable for Galaxy S2 GT I9100 device and it will not work on other Samsung galaxy variants.
2.You must charge the device more than 80% to avoid battery low problems in the time of rooting process.
3.Backup all data like SMS, Contacts, Call Log, Song and Videos files transfer into external SD card, Save APN and MMS settings somewhere else. From here you can get all details Applications>Settings>Wireless Network> Mobile Networks>Access Point Names.
4.Disable all antivirus on your system and close the Kies software. Otherwise the process will be interrupt due to small warnings.
5.Enable USB debugging on the phone. Here you do Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging and there you can select the option and to enable it.

Steps and Procedure How to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 on Android 4.0.3 XXLPJ firmware

Step 1. First of all you must download the CF Root Kernel firmware zip file package for XXLPJ and Odin flashing tool from here.

2. Extract the zip file then you will get a two file names like this in your PC CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LPJ-v5.3-CWM5.tar and Odin3 V1.83.exe.

3. After this you can Turn Off the device and enter into Download Mode. By pressing the Volume Down Key, Center Button together hold it simultaneously and press the Power Button. Then you will get image shows Green Robot in Triangle which you can see it below.

4. Now click on Odin3 V1.83 and Connect the device to your PC via USB Data Cable. Once you connected the phone you will able to see yellow color in ID:COM section. It means that your device will be successfully recognized by PC.

5. Now, you need to Click PDA tab and select the file name CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LPJ-v5.3-CWM5.tar which you downloaded earlier in your PC.

6. Once you selected the file, Click on “Start” button and it will take 2 mins to complete the task.

7. After you will get Green Color with Pass Message. Now your phone will be rebooted automatically.

8. If your phone doesn’t turn on for 2 minutes, then you need to remove the battery from the device and re-insert it after 30 seconds. Now it will work definitely the phone will be booted as usual.

Note: If you stuck at S Logo then you need to follow again from step 3.

Finally you rooted the Samsung Galaxy S2 android device successfully without any problems.
