Help?
Guys, This is stupid. I know a simpler way that you don't have to take any risks in. Follow these Steps:
ReplyDelete1.First install Samsung Kies http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP
2.Get an original Samsung Connectivity Cable
3.Turn on Your Phone
4. On your phone go to Settings,Applications and Devolpment.
5. Turn off USB debug
6.Connect your Phone to the Cable.
7.On the Notification bar a message will pop-up saying "You can copy files SD/Phone to your computer" or something like that click on that and a screen will pop up saying "Connect storage to PC" Click on the button to enable.
8.Go on to Kies it will spend some time downloading drivers for your phone after a while it will be connected to your phone.
9.A message will pop-up saying there is a new update available for your phone click to download latest update
10.After the update is complete you now have ginger 2.3.6
Enjoy!

If you don't do factory reset then old software will be still in the Phone. It will going to interfere with new installed Android OS. So chances of getting problems and bugs while using the device.

ReplyDeleteshould i do this on my phone
Hi...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your useful info. My phone restored to my original rom now.
can u pl let me know how to root the phone(samsung galaxy ace)????
ReplyDelete@Sharnpal you can't do like that because the above firmware update is especially designed only for Galaxy Ace S5830. In case you tried on your phone the total device will be bricked. So don't ever try to do that!
ReplyDelete@Ramesh in upcoming days we will provide root tutorial for Galaxy Ace.

ReplyDeletethrough CWM you can restore whole Operating System, Apps, Games and other stuff. If you restore to old settings and the current new Android OS will be deleted forever. There is no way to restore if you want apps back then you want to restore whole thing.
