Today our tutorial How to Update Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi GT-P7510 with Official Android ICS 4.0.4 UELPL Firmware. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was neglected by Samsung for few months as there were lots of launch and Samsung has lined up new series of Galaxy Tab 2 and Note 10.1. Samsung has recently released the latest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for Galaxy Tab 10.1. If you have rooted your Galaxy Tab then this procedure will unroot your Galaxy Tab. This guide will help if you have soft bricked your Galaxy Tab and want to restore the stock firmware rom. The UELPL update was rolled out officially via both OTA over the air and Kies for United States (US) Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Wi-Fi P7510 tablet variant on August 2012. Although the update is available for USA people but other region users can also install this stock rom manually with Odin flash tool. Android ICS 4.0.4 IMM76D.UELPL baseband build number for Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a fully fledged ICS firmware with lots of add-ons and loaded with new apps like eBook reader, galaxy s3 like weather widgets.
Samsung has tried to address all bugs in the previous 3.2 honeycomb firmware and now the ICS is much more stable, very smooth scrolling and working fine. You will be missing the Jelly Bean UI but there are lots of features to rejoice on. You will be getting Face unlock, Mobile Data usage monitoring, ICS UI [Samsung updated TouchWiz 4.0 user interface].
Requirements
1. Every data in your device must be backed up to ensure the safety of the data. If your data gets corrupted or lost during the installation process that same can be restored with the help of backup file which you will create now. You can also use KIES to make a backup of data such as SMS, MMS, Call Logs, Contacts, Videos, Songs, Images, MMS Settings, APN Settings and Bookmarks.
2. Ensure that all security suites such as antivirus or firewall must have been disabled before starting the process.
3. Check for your device battery, it should to charge to at least 70%. Just ensure that your Galaxy Tab should not turn off during the installation process otherwise it will face problem in starting for next time.
4. Make sure that the USB Debugging option is enabled on your Galaxy Tab 10.1 through that path ‘Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging’.
5. Download and install compatible USB device drivers for Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi GT-P7510 in the PC from here.
Steps and Procedure Update Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi P7510 to ICS 4.0.4 Official Firmware:
1. Download the Official ICS 4.0 UELPL Firmware Package zip file from here to your Computer. File name was P7510UELPL_P7510XABLPL_XAB.zip and size will be 419 MB.
2. After the completion of the download you need to extract the package then you will get 'P7510XABLPL_P7510UELPL_HOME.tar.md5' file.
3. Download Odin3-v 1.85 flash tool from here to your PC. Extract the Odin package then you get odin3-v 1.85.exe inside the folder.
4. Double click to launch the odin3-v 1.85.exe application on your Computer.
5. It's'time to switch off your Tab to enter into download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Power buttons together simultaneously until the download mode appears on the screen.
6. After entering in the download mode, you need to connect your Tab to the Computer via USB data cable when Odin is opened in your Computer. On connecting the device, the ID: COM section will turns Yellow in colour which means the connection has been made successfully.
7. Now click on ‘PDA’ and select ‘P7510XABLPL_P7510UELPL_HOME.tar.md5’ file which you have got from the extracted folder in step 2.
8. After selecting the file, click on ‘Start’ button in Odin to start flashing the firmware update. The process will take around 6-7 minutes to complete the update.
9. When the update is complete the device will reboot automatically and you will see a green color Pass message in Odin. Once you see the home screen on your display disconnect your device from the Computer.
Note: If your device will face a boot loop sequence or even stuck in welcome screen then you need to remove the battery and reinstall the same.
10. Reboot your device in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power button. In recovery mode, you need to select 'wipe data / factory reset' and then 'wipe cache partition' to clear cache from your device. Confirm the wiping process by selecting ‘Yes’ on the next screen. The below picture is just provided to give you some idea how it will actually look on your tab.
11. Select Go Back option from main menu and then select ‘reboot system now’ option to restart your Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi P7510.
After restarting the device, no longer you will face any loop problem.

ReplyDeleteNo it will only applicable to Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi P7510 variant.
ReplyDeleteDon't even think to install the above firmware update on galaxy tab 10.1 Wifi + 3G P7500 model. If installed then your device will be bricked.
is P7510 the same as Gt7510 wifi?
