• Search Engine Friendliness- Everyone who makes a website wants it to be popular over internet and to get popular a website has to get into the search results very often. This is where Joomla CMS lacks behind. The Joomla CMS is not search engine friendly and this may affect the success of your website. Making a website is of no use if the search engine couldn’t track it, especially if you are making a commercial website

• Heavy Website- Getting a website ready in Joomla CMS needs CSS and JavaScript both. This is the reason that the website made in Joomla CMS are heavy and heavy website take more time to load. This may affect the visits in your website which consequently may affect your success. Apart from this, you also might have to host some extra costs.

• Clumsy Layouts- If you want to change the look of your website, like the background colors, images, fonts etc, it is a bit clumsy in Joomla CMS. However it is not difficult to do so, but the clumsiness may irritate you to change the layout of your website.

Extra costs- However like many other open source CMS, Joomla also has many plug-ins and add-ons but some really good ones are not free to use. Though the free plug-ins is also very good and useful for your website but there is some plug-ins which can bring you a real benefit but they are costly. On the other hand, all the modules and add-ons in wordpress are free to use. So if you are looking for a cost effective website, it is better to go with a wordpress blog rather than the Joomla CMS.

Consider all your requisites and expectations before you select any open source Content Management System for your website.

  1. You surely don't know much about the Joomla! CMS. Said, but true...! Go play with Wordpress oldschool backwards compatibility until 100bc and the messy code it's written in... But don't bother others with your limited point of view.
